The respec mod clashes with bag of tricks. If you're getting extra points it's because in bag of tricks your character ability points is set to 25. Go into that mod and change it to 0. Then you can respec without a problem. The simplest workaround would be to use "A Bag of Tricks" to manually set the attributes.
